Key Points
- Michael Saylor sees Bitcoin climbing 30% annually for two decades.
- MicroStrategy remains the largest corporate Bitcoin holder with over 226,000 BTC.
Saylor’s Bold Bitcoin Outlook
Michael Saylor, co-founder and executive chairman of MicroStrategy, is once again doubling down on his bullish stance. In a live interview with CNBC, he projected that Bitcoin could grow at a steady pace of 30% annually for the next 20 years.
Saylor has been one of the most outspoken corporate voices for Bitcoin. His latest forecast suggests a future where Bitcoin surpasses traditional assets like gold and government bonds.
He pointed out Bitcoin’s scarcity, transparency, and global accessibility as reasons for its long-term value. With only 21 million coins ever to exist, Saylor argues that Bitcoin’s limited supply makes it more resistant to inflation compared to fiat currencies, which can be influenced by political and economic pressures.
MicroStrategy’s Role in the Bitcoin Market
MicroStrategy first started buying Bitcoin in 2020 and has since become the largest corporate holder of the asset. The company now owns more than 226,000 BTC, a strategy that has become central to its corporate identity.

While Saylor remains firm in his 30% growth projection, not everyone agrees with his conservative stance. Some believe Bitcoin could grow even faster. As one Bitcoin enthusiast, Bitcoin Hopium, commented:
“That’s his humble opinion. I expect 100% gains per year for Bitcoin.”
