Franklin Templeton appears to be nearing the launch of its long-anticipated XRP ETF, following a fresh S-1 amendment filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The updated filing includes specific language that allows the fund to be automatically registered once all conditions are met, effectively removing one of the last procedural hurdles standing in the way of approval.
This marks a significant step forward for Franklin Templeton as it looks to bring institutional exposure to XRP through a regulated exchange-traded fund. The move mirrors earlier strategies seen with Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, where similar updates accelerated the approval timeline by preventing regulatory delays.
The renewed filing also comes at a time when interest in XRP ETFs is heating up across the market. Canary Capital recently filed its own updated S-1, targeting a mid-November debut, while Bitwise has submitted what analysts are calling its final amendment for an upcoming XRP product expected to trade on the NYSE.
With multiple issuers pushing for approval, analysts suggest the first XRP ETF could go live before the end of the month, a move that would mark another major milestone for crypto integration within traditional finance.
