Coinbase Opens Perpetual Futures Trading for Aster, Expanding Market Access
Coinbase has introduced perpetual futures for Aster, giving global traders another way to engage with the token. The new contract supports both long and short positions, offering more flexibility and adding another layer of liquidity around Aster’s growing ecosystem. Until now, Aster was only available for spot trading on the platform, so this move marks a significant step forward for its market presence.
This update follows Aster’s earlier appearance on Coinbase’s spot listing roadmap, which many traders saw as the first sign of broader support. The progression from spot to futures is often viewed as a validation of a project’s maturity, and the addition of Aster to Coinbase’s derivatives lineup reinforces that sentiment.
More Ways for Users to Access Aster
Aster has been building out its accessibility across multiple fronts. Earlier in November, Alchemy Pay partnered with Aster DEX to make it easier for users to buy Aster using regular payment methods such as debit cards, bank transfers, or digital wallets. For newcomers especially, reducing friction in the purchase process makes the ecosystem far more welcoming.
On the product side, the Aster App expanded to iOS last October, after originally launching on Google Play. With both major mobile platforms supported, users can monitor their positions, manage their holdings, and trade whenever they need, no matter which device they prefer.
Overall, with perpetual futures now live on Coinbase, easier on-ramps, and broader app availability, Aster continues to widen its reach and strengthen its position within the market.
