Bitcoin Could Benefit as Investors Seek Safer Places to Store Wealth

ARK Invest CEO Cathie Wood believes the next major Bitcoin rally could be driven by capital leaving countries facing economic and political instability.

While speaking about current market trends, Wood said artificial intelligence has captured much of investors’ attention and capital in recent months, reducing liquidity across the crypto market. However, she argued that AI cannot replace Bitcoin when it comes to protecting wealth.

“AI has launched a technology revolution, deservedly sucking a lot of oxygen out of the investment world, but it cannot serve as the insurance policy protecting wealth that many people in the world are seeking right now.”

According to Wood, Bitcoin continues to stand out as a long-term store of value, especially for people looking to hedge against inflation and financial uncertainty.

Capital outflows from less stable countries around the world will light another fire under bitcoin and other digital assets. AI has launched a technology revolution, deservedly sucking a lot of oxygen out of the investment world, but it cannot serve as the insurance policy… https://t.co/Xmtt1DnroX

AI Boom Has Shifted Capital Away From Crypto

The surge in AI-related investments has left cryptocurrencies competing for investor attention. Even so, Wood remains confident that Bitcoin‘s long-term outlook remains intact, pointing to its growing role as digital gold.

ARK Invest has previously projected that Bitcoin could eventually reach $1 million by 2030, driven by increasing institutional adoption and broader acceptance worldwide.

Cathie Wood raised her Bitcoin price target to $1.25 MILLION within the next 5 years.

Institutional adoption is the key driver, with a more conservative scenario at $750K .

The ARK Invest CEO remains extremely bullish on $BTC as a new asset class. 🚀👇…

Bitcoin Faces Competition for Investor Capital

Some market analysts believe Bitcoin is currently caught between defensive assets like gold and high-growth opportunities such as AI companies and upcoming IPOs.

As a result, institutional investors have rotated capital into sectors they believe offer stronger short-term returns, contributing to recent outflows from spot Bitcoin ETFs and weighing on BTC’s price.

Despite the current pressure, many long-term investors continue to view Bitcoin as a key asset for preserving wealth in an increasingly uncertain global economy.
