A notable increase in inflows into Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs has captured investor attention, with $2.2 billion directed towards crypto projects just last week.
Scott Melker, host of The Wolf of All Streets, conversed with George Tung of CryptosRus to explore the implications of these inflows and whether external factors, such as the U.S. presidential elections, are impacting market dynamics.
Tung highlighted the robust institutional interest in Bitcoin and Ethereum, noting that inflows have ramped up alongside market recovery.
“Last week was definitely very positive. We saw IBIT alone receive over a billion dollars,”
he remarked, emphasizing the significant investments recorded in a single week—the strongest for crypto products since July.
When Melker suggested that rising interest might be linked to U.S. elections, particularly Trump’s increasing odds in predictive markets, Tung expressed uncertainty.
“I’m not sure which candidate would benefit the market more,”
he acknowledged, though he pointed out an interesting trend from past election cycles, where Bitcoin typically experienced gains leading up to elections.
As they concluded, Melker noted that optimism for a favorable market outcome is prevalent.
“If Bitcoin’s doing well, I’d expect other markets to be up too,”
he said, as both hosts contemplated the future trajectory of the crypto market.
This momentum carried into Monday, with Bitcoin ETFs drawing nearly an additional $300 million, according to Farside investors.
