Eric Trump Says Ethereum Should Already Be Above $8K, Points to Global Liquidity Growth
Eric Trump, known for leading the WLF project, believes Ethereum’s price is lagging behind where it should be. In his view, current levels don’t reflect broader macroeconomic trends, specifically the surge in global M2 money supply.
He’s not the only one thinking this way. After Ethereum’s impressive rebound from its April dip, climbing over 150% to flirt with $3,900, some investors are scratching their heads as it cools near $3,600. Despite the pullback, long-term sentiment remains upbeat.
“Ethereum Should Be At $8000 By Now”
That’s the statement making waves. Eric responded to crypto analyst TedPillows, who pointed out that ETH’s historical alignment with the M2 money supply suggests it’s significantly undervalued.
“Comparing with M2 supply growth, ETH should be trading above $8,000 by now. This shows how undervalued ETH is right now,”
said TedPillows.
Eric Trump replied:
“Agreed.”
The reasoning? Global liquidity is expanding, and Ethereum has traditionally followed the money.
Liquidity Boom Could Fuel a Bigger Move
The M2 money supply in the U.S. hit $22.02 trillion in June—a 4.5% increase year-over-year and the fastest pace since mid-2022. Historically, these liquidity surges have acted like rocket fuel for crypto, and Ethereum is no exception.

Institutional demand also shows no sign of slowing. On July 24, Ether-based ETFs brought in another $214 million in inflows, pushing the total even higher. Notably, Fidelity’s FETH took in the bulk of that day’s activity, with $203 million flowing in.
Meanwhile, BlackRock’s Ethereum ETF recently passed a massive milestone, raking in over $10 billion in inflows within its first year. Only two ETFs have reached that mark faster.
Some See $10K on the Horizon
With the recent unstaking wave of over 640,000 ETH behind us, the network looks relatively stable. Bulls argue that as long as demand from funds and institutions continues and global liquidity keeps rising, Ethereum still has room to run.

Arthur Hayes, among others, thinks ETH could reach $10,000 before the year wraps. Whether it hits that mark or not, Eric Trump’s point resonates with many: Ethereum may be trading far below its fair value.
