While some investors are hitting the panic button as Ethereum continues its slide, Justin Sun is keeping cool. The well-known crypto figure says he’s staying put and has no intention of offloading his ETH stash anytime soon.
Sun made it clear that despite the recent dip, he’s holding onto his Ethereum. In a recent post, he doubled down:
“ETH is currently at a low price, but we have no intention of selling our ETH holdings.”
Beyond just holding, Sun hinted at strengthening collaboration with Ethereum’s developer community—an interesting move at a time when confidence in the asset is wavering. He shared plans to foster more cooperation between the two ecosystems, focusing on long-term growth rather than short-term market noise.
Though the exact figures haven’t been disclosed publicly, rumors suggest Sun personally holds a significant amount of ETH—around 665,000 coins, which, at today’s prices, is close to the $1 billion mark. That same stack was once valued at over $2.5 billion, showing just how much the recent drop has stung high-level holders too.
Unlike other large ETH holders who are reportedly selling at a loss, adding pressure to the market, Sun is staying firm. His strategy appears to be rooted in patience and deeper engagement with the Ethereum space.
He also mentioned that his team will
“Continue to seek opportunities to collaborate with more Ethereum developers and build our industry together,”
the door open for joint projects or ecosystem integrations.
This isn’t Sun’s first public show of support for Ethereum either. In the past, he’s floated bold ideas—like pausing sales from the Ethereum Foundation and imposing taxes on certain layer-2 networks—to drive ETH’s price upward.
As of now, Ethereum is trading at around $1,580, marking a rough year with nearly half its value wiped out. Some analysts think the asset may have found a bottom, especially as macro data like U.S. employment numbers offer a glimmer of hope. There’s also some technical optimism, with ETH trying to push past a key resistance line that could signal a trend reversal.
Whether that bounce comes or not, one thing’s certain: Sun isn’t flinching.
