A video showing the arrest of WLFI CEO Zach Witkoff is making rounds online again, right as tensions with Justin Sun heat up. The timing has only added fuel to an already messy situation.
What Happened in the Video
The footage dates back to New Year’s 2022, outside the E11EVEN nightclub in Miami. In it, Witkoff is seen being detained by police following an incident at the venue involving his father.
According to reports from the scene, things escalated after an attempt to enter the club despite being denied access. During the arrest, officers reportedly found a small amount of cocaine, leading to multiple charges, including possession and resisting arrest.
Bodycam clips show Witkoff arguing with officers and offering conflicting explanations. At one point he claimed he was helping a friend, later insisting the substance wasn’t his. He also pushed back against the situation, saying he had done nothing wrong.
At one moment, he tried to leverage connections, telling officers:
“I’m friends with Marc Roberts, I swear to God.”
The response from security was blunt, no one cared.

Witkoff later posted bond and pleaded not guilty. Over time, the more serious charges, including felony possession, were dropped.
Clash With Justin Sun
The resurfaced arrest video comes just hours after Witkoff publicly fired back at Justin Sun, who recently filed a lawsuit involving WLFI.
Witkoff dismissed the case as baseless, calling it a distraction attempt and insisting the claims hold no weight. He also made it clear that the company plans to defend itself and its community.
On the other side, Justin Sun argues that his WLFI tokens were unfairly frozen and raised concerns about governance decisions tied to the project.
A Bad Look, Bad Timing
The overlap between the old arrest footage and the ongoing legal fight with Justin Sun isn’t ideal. While the case from 2022 may be behind him legally, its reappearance now puts Witkoff, and WLFI, back under the spotlight at a sensitive moment.
