Nasdaq-listed Solmate Infrastructure has unveiled plans to establish a Solana infrastructure center in Abu Dhabi, part of a broader overhaul aimed at shifting the company toward digital asset services.
The firm also intends to rebrand its legal entity. Brera Holdings PLC will become Solmate Infrastructure PLC, although its Nasdaq ticker SLMT will remain unchanged.

The move follows a board decision to realign the company’s structure and identity with its growing focus on blockchain infrastructure in the UAE.
“This transformation is the culmination of Brera’s strategic shift toward infrastructure opportunities we see in Abu Dhabi. By focusing our capital and corporate identity on Solana, we are positioning ourselves to be a central player in the region’s rapidly expanding digital economy,”
said CEO Marco Santori.
The strategy builds on a shift announced last year, when the company introduced a Solana-focused treasury and infrastructure arm alongside its football investments after securing a $300 million private investment backed by ARK Invest, RockawayX, and the Solana Foundation.

As part of the restructuring, Solmate plans to exit two underperforming football clubs while keeping its main Italian team, Juve Stabia. The freed-up capital will be redirected toward expanding validator and staking operations tied to Solana in the UAE.
The company has also proposed a 10-for-1 reverse stock split, pending shareholder approval. If approved, every ten shares would be consolidated into one, raising the nominal value from $0.05 to $0.50 and placing the stock within a trading range more commonly preferred by institutional investors.
