Bitcoin jumped more than 3% to trade above $111,000 after confirmation that President Donald Trump will meet China’s President Xi Jinping in Washington on October 30. The long-awaited meeting sparked optimism among traders and investors, fueling a rebound in both crypto and traditional markets.
The gathering will mark the first in-person discussion between the two leaders since Trump’s return to office. According to the White House, the talks will focus on restoring fair trade practices, easing tariff tensions, and strengthening technological cooperation between the U.S. and China.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt reaffirmed Trump’s commitment to protecting American industries, stating that the President
“Will not tolerate unfair trade practices.”
The statement comes just weeks after the administration’s decision to impose a 100% tariff on Chinese imports, a move that initially rattled markets.
Meanwhile, data from Polymarket shows traders are increasingly confident about a potential tariff resolution, assigning an 81% probability that an agreement will be reached by November 10. This renewed optimism has added momentum to Bitcoin and risk assets globally.

Analysts note that while lingering trade uncertainty could briefly pressure crypto prices, improved U.S.–China relations might bring renewed stability to financial markets. As traders await further details from the Trump–Xi meeting, sentiment across the board remains notably bullish.
