Eric Trump believes the crypto industry is heading for a major growth phase, with Bitcoin positioned at the center of it. Speaking at a recent blockchain event, the Trump Organization executive vice president said the next 12 to 18 months will be “explosive” for digital assets.
He has repeatedly emphasized his confidence in Bitcoin, even suggesting it could reach $1 million in the future. He pointed to Bitcoin’s limited supply and fast settlement speeds as advantages over traditional finance, adding that a $200 million BTC transfer could be completed in seconds for less than a dollar, something banks cannot match.
“The growth of this industry in the next 12, 18 months is going to be explosive and the next decade is going to be, we’re going to look back and say we were the pioneers of rewriting modern finance,” Eric Trump said.
He also revealed that his family’s involvement in Bitcoin began after U.S. banks tried to cut ties with them, despite decades of business relationships. According to him, this move pushed them to diversify into crypto, which has since become a significant part of their portfolio.

Eric Trump warned that countries and institutions that ignore digital assets risk falling behind in the global financial race, while major banks like JPMorgan and Bank of America have already set up digital asset divisions to adapt to growing demand.
