Bitmine has quietly grown into one of the biggest holders of Ethereum, now sitting on 4.423 million ETH, roughly 3.66% of the circulating supply. The company’s combined digital assets and cash reserves are valued at around $9.6 billion.
Even as parts of the market cool off and volatility lingers, Bitmine kept adding. Its latest purchases include another 51,162 ETH, signaling confidence at a time when others are stepping back.
Notably, Vitalik Buterin has been reducing portions of his personal ETH stack over recent weeks, with on-chain data showing multi-million dollar sales. The moves have caught the attention of traders, especially given the softer price action.
Bitmine, however, appears unfazed. A large portion of its holdings, about 3.04 million ETH, is staked, generating yield while reinforcing its long-term bet on the network.
“In the midst of this ‘mini crypto winter,’ our focus continues to be on methodically executing our treasury strategy and steadily acquiring ETH and in turn, optimizing the yield on our ETH holdings,”
said Tom Lee, Chairman of Bitmine.
The company is also preparing to roll out its MAVAN staking infrastructure in early 2026, aiming to deepen participation and further enhance returns.
While some high-profile figures lighten exposure, Bitmine seems to be leaning in, treating current levels as an opportunity rather than a warning sign.
