Solana ETF Momentum Grows as Invesco Galaxy Makes Its Move
The push for a Solana-backed ETF in the U.S. just got more serious. Invesco Galaxy has officially filed to launch a fund that would track Solana’s (SOL) spot price, joining a wave of institutional efforts aiming to bring regulated crypto exposure to traditional investors.

If approved, the ETF would trade under the ticker QSOL and use the Lukka Prime Solana Reference Rate as its benchmark. The listing is planned for the Cboe BZX Exchange, though it still awaits regulatory clearance.
This filing adds weight to the momentum Solana has been building in financial markets, offering a way for investors to gain exposure to the asset without holding the tokens directly.
Institutional Interest Around Solana ETFs Keeps Building
Invesco Galaxy’s application puts it in the mix with other major asset managers who are betting on Solana’s future in the ETF world. The demand is clear: investors are looking for more accessible ways to tap into crypto—and Solana is high on the list.
Regulatory approval still hangs in the balance, but sentiment is growing more optimistic. One widely watched estimate puts the odds of approval for this ETF at “95%” by 2025, reflecting a shift in how the SEC is approaching crypto-related financial products. That shift became clearer after Ethereum spot ETFs were recently given the go-ahead.
Could Staking Be Part of the Package?
As more firms enter the ETF race, there’s increased talk of staking rewards being included in these products. In June, several issuers revised their filings to add staking language—moves likely made in response to the SEC’s guidance during the Ethereum ETF approvals.
One standout example is the VanEck SOL ETF (VSOL), which has already been listed in the DTCC system while awaiting final approval. This kind of positioning shows how firms are preparing in advance for a green light from regulators.
With names like VanEck, Bitwise, and 21Shares all stepping up alongside Invesco Galaxy, the Solana ETF landscape is quickly becoming one of the most active and competitive in crypto finance.
